Sums up a Monday fairly well, don't you think? (At least in my experience anyway.)

Thoughts on a Friday
Hi baby!
-Thunk.
-How is that a word for thought?
-Thunk should be used only for the sound of something hitting the top of your head.
-Like an apple.
-Or a pear.
-Law of physics, yo!
-Imagine Newton way back in 1600-something, sitting under an apple tree, probably reading a book, and suddenly... Thunk!!
-Newton: "What the...??? *sees apple* Aha! Physics!"
-Then again, I used thunk on purpose.
-Water.
-My day is not going so swell. Waaaaah.
-But wait, what is this?? Exactly what I need!
-But where is my cake?
-Doesn't help when I have my .
-Get it?? Mwahaha!
-Puts me in some weird mood swings, such as from laughing, to rage and tears, and back again.
-Sometimes when I brush an area of my stomach or side with my hand accidently, I suddenly feel thirsty.
-Yeha, great segueway.
-Into... Nothing.
-What da funk.
-I love that term.
-Sometimes I wish I were able to play the piano. A la Mozart.
-Almost February.
-Month of luuuurve and chocolate.
-The latter appeals to me more.
-Naturally.
-I found this months ago, but o-m-gizzle, my dreams for a live action movie have come partially true!
-I wanted to be her for Halloween when I was a kid.
-Unfortunately, now I do again.

Friday Rambles
My favourite combination. Pomegranite and blood orange... In a cupcake!!
-Magique.
-Sometimes I think that to myself, just for the sake of sounding French.
-Same with fantastique!
-Yay snow!
-We got a pleasant dumping of it the other day, and a bit more today.
-I wish the temperature would make up it's mind as to whether it wants to be winter or spring.
-I don't know how much more of this yo-yo weather I can take!
-Good lord, he's done it again. I give him credit for wanting to go all out in creepifying his appearance.
-Yet I am intrigued.
-This is such a beautifully shot video. Makes me want to return to Italy veeeery badly.
-Oh, soap operas. Full of bad acting and bad plot lines.
-Do any of these people (meaning characters) work??
-One of the girls on the shows can't cry properly.
-She scrunches her face too hard, flails her arms and cries, "no, no!"
-Pitiful; a 20 something year old BABY.
-Babybabybaby OOOOH.
-Wow, this 50s group is badass.
-I want to go to an Ellen DeGeneres show taping.
-Hey Ellen, if you ever happen to read this: hello from Canada! You don't know me, but I know youoooo!
-Man, if Ellen ever found this blog.
-It would be like my blog was looked at by talk show host/celebrity gold.
-Hi. Nice blog. I think you need to get a life though. Sincerely, Ellen. (Just kidding! But not really.)
-I would love to do this for a birthday party.
-I would love to plan any birthday party for that matter.
-Gimme a party, and I'll plan it.
-Zap.
-Tappa tappa tappa. Remember that from the Simpsons?
-I think it was a running joke in my tap class from days of old.
-Salut!

You say goodbye...
How cute! Only kids can get away with this sort of thing. When I was around her age, I used wave at motor cyclists passing on the street. And you know what? They actually waved back!

That Sinking Feeling
A few nights ago, I had a Medium-moment. You know, where you wake up with a start? It was one of those dreams where you have different things going on, like in a movie or something, and I was watching this girl who was supposed to be heading somewhere, but ended up lost in the woods. She came across this swampy area, where part of a decomposed body was already submerged in the gross water/mud, (which she, remarkably, did not take notice of).
This girl decides to try cuting through it, but ultimately, she starts to sink into the mud. She's trying her hardest to climb her way back out... Suddenly she's practically up to her chin, she's starting to choke and spit out muddy water and gasping for air, almost submerged... Aaahh!!
I think there was more after that, but I still woke up with a start.
When I was a kid, I came to the conclusion that whenever I slept facing my bedroom wall, I would have scary dreams. And I was facing my wall.
Fact#1: Dreams often signify the subconscious elements your mind is trying to broadcast to you while you're asleep. Whatever my subconscious is trying to tell me, but it certainly has a funny way of showing it! I feel like it kind of ties in with an underlying fear of getting into something (like quicksand) and not being able to get out. I base this idea from the fact that I watched horrifying movies when I was a kid that featured people sinking into swampy bogs. Nightmare inducing, I tell you.
Fact#2: We only dream of what we know. We dream of these different people we've never seen before... Or have we? Apparently our minds keep track of all the faces we've encountered throughout our lives, and for some odd reason, incorporates them into our dreams. Kind of cool, and kind of weird. I wonder if it works for places?
I wish I were able to dream lucidly. Oh, the scenerios I would create:
Cake with... Oh let's see...
Willy Wonka. In the garden.
Who suddenly jumps up, and challenges me to a duel! Which I accept, obviously.
So there we are, standing on the table, dueling it out for a good five minutes, when suddenly, in a burst of 70s technicolour....
Enters Gene Wilder's Wonka.
He is all ready and set to kick the other Wonka's ass. Challenge accepted again!
Then I decide to call... No, summon Jack Sparrow and the Mad Hatter over to watch. Wonka II turns to him and says in this tone...
To which Jack replies...
The Mad Hatter finds humour in this.
All the while, I sit back eating cake, and watching the action. Yum.
Wonka I and Wonka II continue to duel it out, and immediately Jack gets in on the action. The Mad Hatter grabs two forks and starts jabbing the Wonkas in the rears, laughing maniacally.
Suddenly, Wonka II kicks Wonka I off the table, and screams at him,
And further off, Edward Scissorhands is trimming away the shrubs, hardly paying attention to the action.
Then I press a button on my dress and say, "Beam me up Scotty". And off I fly! Coincidentally passing the TARDIS on my way to Buckingham Palace, where I would be meeting up the Dutchess Kate to go zip-lining... In New Zealand.
And that's just a fragment of how I would control my dreams. Funny where my posts can take me. And my imagination, for that matter.

Thoughts on a Friday
-First Friday of 2012.
-Bangarang!
-I love Hook.
-I also love giraffes.
-Reminds me of the hotel I stayed in while in New York.
-So they say there was a murder on the Sandringham Estate, not too far from the Queen's residence.
-Time to call in the Scotland Yard!
-Or Hercule Poirot, to make a snappy job of it.
-Cake.
-I want a really good slice of chocolate cake, with an even better filling.
-Why are they still coming out with Alvin and the Chipmunks movies?
-They may as well make a show of it and save themselves the trouble.
-Fools.
-My internet connection is irritatingly slow today.
-I feel like I could drink my tea forever.
-And eat cake forever.
-I think of cake, and now it just leads me to think of Gertrude Stein.
-I don't like to think of salad as a winning cake.
-Belgian waffles.
-They sound better than they taste.
-But I'm sure they are delicious.
-Poirot is Belgian.
-The idea of having an eclair is nice, but the actual thing isn't so spectacular.
-Sorry, you eclair fans out there.
-Maybe I need to visit France to have a good eclair.
-I can't seem to spell ecalir.
-I've never had a macaron before.
-I've seen them, and slobbered over them, but never actually eaten one.
-Gimme pizzaaaaaaaa. (P-I-Z-Z-AY?)
-Maybe I should stop thinking about food...
-Yo, yo, where da snow??
-Funny how chefs/food artists love using the term, "elegant,"allllll the time.
-Crap, food subject again.
-I can't think anymore.
-And yet the thoughts keep coming.
-Mostly about food.
-Silence, mind.
-Shhhh...

My first post of 2012...
And it has to be a video featuring a porcupine (decked out in a party hat) munching on a corn cob. How cool I am. Happy new year, friendlies!
